Hi, I’m Dr. Emma Lengerich

I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and licensed physical therapist with a passion for pelvic health and sustainable fitness. I completed both my undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Dayton, graduating in 2013. During my time there, I competed as a heptathlete on the Track and Field team, where I developed a deep appreciation for the human body, its resilience, and its potential.

I began my career in orthopedics, earning certification in dry needling (CMTPT) and board-certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association. I am also a certified Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES) and have experience supporting families as a birth doula.

Through years of working with clients—and through my own journey—I began to notice a gap in both education and care, particularly for individuals experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction. I also saw how many people, especially women and mothers, were turning to fitness approaches that only added more exhaustion to already demanding lives. This realization shaped the way I practice today. I believe strength should be intentional and supportive, not depleting. Sustainable, targeted movement builds capacity without unnecessary fatigue—because life itself is already demanding enough.

These experiences ultimately led me to shift my clinical focus toward pelvic health physical therapy and whole-body wellness. Whether you’re seeking support for pelvic health concerns, navigating pregnancy and the postpartum period, preparing for labor and delivery, or experiencing the changes of perimenopause and menopause, I’m here to support you.

I’m an advocate for movement as a tool for longevity, confidence, and quality of life. My goal is to educate, empower, and guide you toward feeling strong, capable, and supported—no matter what stage of life you’re in.

FOUNDATIONS PELVIC HEALTH

If you would like to work with me directly for pelvic health or orthopedic concerns, I offer one-on-one physical therapy assessments and treatment in Columbus, Ohio. My approach is comprehensive, addressing the full body alongside specific pelvic floor concerns and the role of the nervous system in shaping your experience.

FOUNDATIONS FITNESS

Through working with clients—and my own experience—I realized how hard it is to find fitness programming that doesn’t constantly wear you down. That’s why I created this online fitness membership with a focus on intentional, targeted strength work designed to build muscle without unnecessary fatigue—so your workouts support your life, not drain it.
